Create an awsome logo

How do you go  about designing a truly memorable, ‘awsome’ logo?  We’ve  come up with eight key principles for designing a memorable  logo which we’ ve  outlined in the graphic below :

What does it all mean?

1. Keep It Simple

A memorable logo needs to be instantly recognizable, conveying the brand’s ethos and personality with just a glance.Whether you opt for a recognizable object, animal or company initials, don’t be too ambitious with the visual complexity of your logo. Remember people will only be looking at it for a matter of seconds.

2. Think Globally

Even if the company is starting small and targeting just the local area, designing a logo with appeal in a wide range of countries will help it remain relevant to a global audience, and enable expansion possibilities in the future. Many logos may work in some countries, but be offensive or irrelevant in others. Creating a logo with universal appeal means thinking of an item or color scheme that is associated with positivity for people from a wide range of cultures.

3. Vary the Background

You may want to create your logo using the brand’s main color scheme, but it’s good to keep it adaptable in case you require it to be used on a third party website or publication and thus require a different background color to be applied. Think firstly about creating two versions of your logo – a light logo on a dark background and vice versa but then build this out to include a range of different color combinations.

4. Pick Your Colors Carefully

Thinking carefully about your color scheme is an extremely important part of how your business is perceived. Every designer should be aware of the psychological effects different colors can have on us, but in addition you’ll need to think how the colors used portray the company in question. Using a color tool for designers can help you plot out the best color scheme, but make sure you work closely with the business owners to find out more about the company and how it wants to project itself.

5. Don’t Follow the Crowd

There are lots of associated images that come to mind easily when designing logos for different industries. However, does choosing a brick-design for a construction business, a pair of scissors for a hairdressers or weighing scales for a law firm really distinguish that business from its competition? Choosing imagery that relates to your brand name rather than industry (eg. Apple, Ralph Lauren, Red Bull) makes the organisation seem more confident and innovative.

6. Use Custom Typography

Using custom lettering means your branding will be unique and can’t be easily copied. While this is much more time consuming, creating a new font specially designed for the business or organisation will help them stand head and shoulders above the competition. Go back to basics, sketching out the design with a pen and paper before developing the design with a graphics tablet or other software.

7. Try it with your Tagline

A memorable logo needs to be flexible for use with or without the organisation’s strapline. Most straplines should be concise and punchy so finding a space on the design where it can be easily-integrated shouldn’t be too difficult. Having a strapline that easily fits in with your logo will make formatting any future branding much simpler.

8. Target Your Audience

It’s very important to be aware of the organisation’s target demographic before you start designing the logo. Red Bull’s bright logo appeals to young people interested in an active lifestyle, whilst Ralph Lauren’s polo player gives off a luxury feel which attracts individuals within that demographic. Try to test the affects of your logo on people that match the target audience, tailoring the design to their requirements. If you have any more tips and tricks for designing a memorable logo, please leave a comment with your tips for designing a kickass logo.

After reading alot about colors what i got to know about it is Color refers to reflected light which is known as element of art. Whatever we feel about an object, color has an affect over it. Colors can change our mood, it can attract our attention. We usually associate colors with feelings and emotions. Each and every color plays an important role in designing which has its own meanings.

I read some articles on this topic and i think Color plays a major part in giving your brand a proper face which helps in reflecting your brand. How so ever your brand is presented in public, it will be reflected through colors. And hence color is one of the most important part of a making a brand. Colors of a brand must be so strong that they describes everything about the brand visually. Be it a small brand or a big brand colors should be chosen wisely. When looking at color options for your brand it’s always best to take a look at other brands to get a clear idea on how color schemes play an important part. According to me this is really important.

Meaning of Colors

According to me, different colors have different impacts on the targeted audience for a particular brand.

Hue refers to pure color or we can say hue is primary value of a color which is perceived through our eyes.

Saturation describes the intensity of the color. Colors which appear dull to us are called s desaturated.

Value is the lightness or darkness of color. When black is added to the value its called ‘shades’ and when white is added to the value its called ‘tints’.

Brand Identity Through Colors

As i read quite much about colors , they helps a brand to stand out in crowd. Right choice of color used by a brand can lead to its success while bad choice will lead to the failure. It is analyzed that 33% of brands uses blue color for their brands, 29% uses red, 28% uses black or grayscale, 13% uses yellow. 95% of the brands uses only 1 or 2 colors for their brand and rest 5% uses more then 2 colors. Colors can increase brand recognisation by upto 80%. I would also say color shows the personality of a brand in front of its customers.

I think after reading and understanding alot about colors , a color may have many different meanings. It isn’t the colors themselves but rather the meanings they symbolize based on our perceptions. Color choices are very important to the overall success of a brand. Choose your colors wisely.

What is Typography?

Typography is a style to write something. It’s actually everywhere we look at, in our everyday life, while surfing internet , while reading books even while you all are reading this ; its typography and ofcourse we do it all the time. What i feel is that typography is one of the most important element of designing , including the fact that it is a very vast subject matter. All you have to do is know a little for making bigger and better differences.

How to classify Typography?

According to my study and research we can classify typography into three major categories :

1. Serif

2. Sans Serif

3. Decorative Fonts

So some basic and common types of fonts are these three , mentioned above .

What you need to know about these fonts?

Serif fonts have little strokes which are known as Serif which are attached to the main part of the letter. Like we have Slab Serif , Basic Serif , Old style Serif and so on.

Sans serif fonts do not have that extra strokes , the name describe itself ‘Sans’ which means ‘without’. These can be condensed or narrow and can be light , regular , thick , extrathick.

Decorative fonts comes in many different styles . In these we have unlimited fonts. No strict rules are followed for decorative or fancy fonts. Some Famous types of decorative fonts includes brushed, script, cursive, fancy, etc.

Which font suits the best for your brand?

Ok so i think to explain it’s answer an example would work the best here. Let me show you some famous brands as an example. On the left side we have the existing typography and on the other side we have used fonts which are worst for these brands. Now, They will help you to understand why you should use a good and correct font for your brand. You can compare them and see the difference.

According to my knowledge it is really important for us to study about the typography. It plays a major role in designing. A right font will always help you to enhance your work. Think about what your brand is about and then pick up the font wisely. You can also use different fonts together. Do not use more fonts in one particular design but yes, you can always use fonts in different sizes, weight or style. Creating interesting combinations always works.

After reading lot of books & articles on social media marketing i got to understand that social media marketing is a process through which we promote a product or a service or we can say a platform through which we gain traffic or attention with the help of social media. Social media is the fastest growing trend in the history of the world. The goal of social media marketing is to produce content that users will share with their social network to help a company to increase brand exposure and broaden customer reach. It helps a company gets direct feedback from customers and potential customers while making the company seem more personable.

6. Interacting with your clients on a daily basis is a sign of faith for other customers. The more people that are talking about you on social media, the more valuable and authoritative your brand will seem to new users.

People are consuming more and more digital content on a daily basis – on mobile phones, laptops, desktop computers at work, and more – and companies that have not yet recognised this in their marketing strategies need to adapt fast. Everything now a days are becoming united. We have to communincate a messages across multiple channel. i think digital madia is more than just digital. it is really interacting life with someone. Marketing or advertising platforms that may be used can include social media, electronic billboards, mobile phones and tablets.[1] An example of how a brand or organisation may be to advertise on another public website, on their own website or to use or create a mobile application to promote their product or service.

Because of digital media ability to intract and contribute to the whole world was possible that’s what I was just exciting about. you can do so cheaply. You can do it by yourself if you want. Digital marketing is huge. It is important for making a good reputation of the company. Everyone has expensive computers or internet facilities at home.for example, If i need to know about any of the company or product i will search on internet through which i will come to know better about that company. For more information about the good reputation I will check on fb or intagram and probably I will see wheather they have large no. of followers or not.

The Pros of digital marketing:

1. It is cheaper way to advertise your product through digital media.

2. It has much wider range. Your product will get advertised worldwide.

3. It helps to spread business worldwide.

4. It increase ability to major or collect data.

The cons of digital marketing:

1. Company has to face lots of competition.

2. Your website needs timely updatation.

3. Spamming is one of the prime challenge for online marketing.

let’s take a quick snapshot of two main key forms of it at present:

1. Websites and SEO content

2. Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising

What is SEO?

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a web search engine’s unpaid result. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, video search, academic search,[2] news search, and industry-specific vertical search engines. SEO differs from local search engine optimization in that the latter is focused on optimizing a business’s online presence so that its web pages will be displayed at the top by search engines when a user enters a local search for its products or services. SEO considers how search engines work, what people search for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience.

According to me SEO plays an important role in boosting the web presence specially in major search engines such as google. With SEO companies gain advantage of gaining brand image, more traffic, and improvising on overall website performance in search results .

1. It is cost effective, you don’t have to pay the search engine to be advertised.

2. Your company had a greater chance at becoming visible around the world, if it is well ranked.

3. Once website get good place your company will get recognosed.

4. It get the targeted traffic for your company

1. it on unpredictable position you don’t have the total control over on your website.

2. Your company had a greater chance at becoming visible around the world, if it is well ranked.

3. It take time for months or even year.

4. It is competitive, company has to face strong competition in order to come at the top of the list.

What is PPC?

Pay-per-click (PPC), also known as cost per click (CPC), is an internet advertising model used to direct traffic to websites, in which an advertiser pays a publisher (typically a website owner or a network of websites) when the ad is clicked With search engines, advertisers typically uses that keyword phrases which is relevant to their target market. In contrast, content sites commonly charge a fixed price per click rather than use a bidding system.

PPC “display” advertisements, also known as “banner” ads, are shown on web sites with related content that have agreed to show ads and are typically not pay-per-click advertising. Social networks such as Facebook and Twitter have also adopted pay-per-click as one of their advertising models.

1. It Offers Retargeting or Remarketing of your Visitors

2. It Gives You Measurable Results

3. It Allows You to Track ROI with Conversion Pixels

4. It Gives You Quick Results

5. It is Actually Affordable

6. It Allows You to Track Your Ads in Real Time

7. It Provides Greater Control

1. It Can Be Quite Complicated

2. Ads Disappear When Your Campaign Ends

3. It is Not Free

IMPORTANCE of digital marketing

it is perhaps unsurprising that once the technology became available we began quickly moving into the digital age. The good news is that digital offers just as much potential to marketers as it does to consumers. I think, digital marketing is more affordable than traditional offline marketing methods. An email or social media campaign, for example, one can transmit a marketing message to consumers at the cost of a TV ad or print campaign, and potentially reach a wider audience.

1000,000 personal computer more mobile device on the planet than humans. In past all media are separate and but now independent . its all you can find it all in one easily. It is very important in the business to unveil a right messege to right person in a right time through right media. Digital media specialist make use of technology and design skills to design a contents that is used in websites and vedio games ,audio content , animation and special effects.

one of the main benefits of conducting your marketing digitally is the ease with which results can be tracked and monitored. Rather than conducting expensive customer research, you can quickly view customer response rates and measure the success of your marketing campaign in real-time, enabling you to plan more effectively for the next one.
